Game 19:Salisbury City 4.2 Dartford (FA Cup) 09.11.13

Dan Fitchett waits for his team mates to join in the celebrations after scoring his second and Salisbury’s fourth goal in an all non-league 1st round proper FA Cup tie. Dartford came into the game without several first choice players and Salisbury took advantage, Fitchett scoring with a low shot and Wright blasting in a second after a poor headed clearance came straight to him. Frear smashed a third in just before halftime.

In the second half Dartford made the most of the referee waiving play on from the halfway line. They continued to attack and scored with a great shot with just over 20 minutes to play. Salisbury pressed forward and took 6 minutes to regain their three goal advantage, Fitchett flicking the ball past Julian in the Dartford goal. Julian’s run to retrieve a ball seemed a waste of time but it actually set up a late consolation for Dartford right on the full time whistle.
